Coventry Family History Society

Coventry Family History Society was formed in 1994 to cover family history interests in this area of Warwickshire, and has a membership of about 350.

The Society holds monthly meetings at the Old Coventrians RFC in Coventry where members can hear a variety of speakers, seek advice, and enjoy meeting like-minded people. The quarterly distribution of the “Coventry FHS Journal” provides items of local interest, general genealogical information, events and activities of the Society, and an opportunity to publish personal family history interests.

The Society specialises in Coventry information including all censuses (except 1881), monumental inscriptions, burial registers, apprentice enrolments and so on. The website at www.covfhs.org gives details of all the local publications available for purchase on CD and microfiche, projects, research services and how to join the Society.

Coventry FHS is a registered charity (no 1070160) and is a member of West Midlands Area Group and of the Federation of Family History Societies.
