My pop's uncle enlisted in the Australian Army in World War One as William Percy Preston 1883 - 1943. Served in the 32nd battalion AIF.
Was wounded in France and returned to Australia in 1919. He is listed in the Census in England as Percy William Preston.
He remained in Australia for the rest of his life and died in 1943 in Sydney.
