Discover if your ancestor was buried in Queensland, Australia. These records include burial indexes and monumental inscriptions from six cemeteries. The two largest collections come from the South Brisbane Cemetery Monumental Inscriptions and the Toowong Cemetery Monumental Inscriptions.
Digitised from the original records held at the Genealogical Society of Queensland Brisbane, this database includes indexes from records of memorial inscriptions from many Queensland cemeteries and lone graves (people who were buried on private property because they were too far from a cemetery). Plus, there are indexes to records from Queensland funeral directors - Metropolitan, Lorisch, Alex Gow, S R Le Grand, K M Smith, Cannon & Cripps, Tucker and Nankivel. The total time frame covered is 1820-1996 (however, not all years are covered for all funeral directors or cemeteries).
Below is a full list of all the places available in this collection. The list provides you with a year range. In some cases, gaps may appear within the years available.
