About Queensland Family History Society
The Queensland Family History Society (QFHS) in Australia was formed in 1979. It is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organisation that aims to promote the study of family history, local history, genealogy and heraldry, and to encourage the collection and preservation of records relating to the history of Queensland families. The Society’s premises are at Gaythorne, a northside Brisbane suburb. It is Queensland’s leading family history and genealogy organisation and has the state’s largest genealogical bookshop. The library is open to members and paying non-members.
