Search New York, Flushing Marriage & Death abstracts 1847–1870 image browse

Josephine Frost abstracted marriage and death information pertaining to Flushing and its vicinity in Queens and (now) Nassau counties, 1847–1870, from unidentified newspapers, but likely including the Flushing Journal. Marriage records contain full name and hometown of both the bride and groom and the date of the marriage, in chronological order. Death records contain the date of death, age upon death, hometown, and, in the case of some women, husband’s name. The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society digitized its copy of Mrs. Frost’s 1907 typescript.
