The Province of Manitoba records marriages, along with births and deaths, as part of their Vital Statistics Agency. They are responsible for administering and enforcing the "Vital Statistics Act," the "Marriage Act," "The Change of Name Act," and processing disinterments under the "Public Health Act." The database contains information from 1882 to present day, depending on the limitations set out in each of the above acts. In this database, you will find marriages that occurred more than 70 years ago.
