Powys Family History Society

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Powys Family History Society.

The Powys Family History Society was formed in 1980. The part of Wales that the society covers is the pre-1974 counties of Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire, and at present has 800 members with family interests in this area.

Regular meetings, to which all are welcome, with interesting speakers take place in Brecon, Welshpool, Newtown and Llandewi Ystradenny. For those at home and abroad, the society journal “Cronicl” is produced in April, August and December, giving members an opportunity to publish their personal family history interests, be kept up to date with Society events and genealogical news items, and learn more about the area of their ancestors.
