George Fedrick
by Kerrie McVeigh
Story 170
Mmy late father, George Fedrick, who served in the 2/26th Battalion in World War 2. He was a POW at Changi in Singapore for three and a half years. He survived the war and passed away on 10/1/2004 aged 89 years.
Our family has a very strong military history with 3 generations of the family serving in 3 wars - my grandfather (also George Fedrick) served in World War 1 and my brother (Colin Fedrick) served in Vietnam.
